Interim Management Accountant. 

(initial 12 month)

Just For pets is specialist pet retailer with 25 retail outlets based mainly in the Midlands. The stores are fun and exciting places to visit and cater for all your pet needs, excel in supplying expert advice and award winning customer service.

The Role:
• Monthly management of accounts preparation for reporting to JFP management to strict deadlines
• Statutory annual accounts and audit file preparation for the Company’s Auditors and Group Financial Controller
• Update monthly forecasts
• Annual budget preparation
• Cash management and financial accounting
• Preparation of corporation tax computation and submission to HMRC
• Control of internal controls and reconciliations
• Overseeing the payroll activity

The Candidate:
Reporting to the Managing Director Group and Finance Director, the successful candidate is likely to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), ideally with previous experience. A strong understanding of the demands of both internal and external users of the Company’s finance function is essential. Excellent IT and analytical skills, together with good interpersonal and communication abilities are prerequisites, together with a total commitment to first rate quality and the achievement of necessary deadlines. Good corporate tax knowledge, together with corporate finance experience would be an added benefit as the Company continues to implement its on-going growth strategy
